BRETT WAY: ASSISTANT COACH (SKATING DEVELOPMENT)

Brett joined the Northern Lights coaching staff on September 5, 2009. He brings a wealth of experience from his years as Head Instructor for Laura Stamm Power Skating. He currently is employed as a Personal Trainer at Total Hockey Training in Eagan.

As a player, he was Captain of the team at Augsburg College (MIAC Division 3). After being named to the Dean's List, he graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with a Minor in Management Information Systems.

Volunteer Service
Brett was instrumental in creating a breast cancer fundrasing event at the Augsberg hockey game to benefit the the Susan G Komen Foundation. The event succeeded in raising several thousand dollars for this cause.

He has consistently volunteered with youth hockey programs and the Herb Brooks Rink Rat Program.

As a commitment to "service above self" Brett also joined the Rotaract Club of the Athlete Village and plans to be part of the Goodwill Peace Ambassador trip to Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics.
